It takes a village.

Our team at Authenticcity is passionate about grassroots-based design to create memorable, timeless and authentic places.

We’ve found ourselves. After over 20 years our design team celebrates over 500 successful community placemaking projects across central and western Canada.

As part of the EDS Group of companies, Authenticcity was born out of realization that the greatest places are created through bringing communities together – robust public and stakeholder engagement, and humility to realize the strength that a community brings to help realize great places. It truly takes a village to inspire communities to come together to help realize memorable, timeless and authentic places for people to grow, play and celebrate.

About Authenticcity

As an evolution of EDS Group, a western-Canadian based professional design consultancy, Authenticcity was born as a reflection of our success working with numerous communities to help realize memorable, timeless and authentic parks and open spaces.

Our team has two decades of experience in parks and open space planning for communities of varying scales. We are passionate about projects that bring together people of all ages, abilities, world views and varying interests in creating great places for people to enjoy. Our team has extensive experience in park design, community revitalization, recreational planning, environmental planning and open space programming. We are excited for projects that allow people to enjoy the outdoors for recreation, celebration, social events and day to day personal enjoyment. Our professional and technical staff in planning, landscape architecture, environmental planning and architecture pride ourselves in leading highly complex, inter-disciplinary projects.

Why the name Authenticcity? Great places are built by teasing out the authenticity of a community, celebrating it through built form and opening the potential to program our parks and open spaces for all ages and for all times of the year.
